Our mission:
WAVI works to create a community free of domestic and sexual abuse through advocacy, education, and support services.
Working Against Violence, Inc. (WAVI) is committed to providing vital services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking.
Our services include a safe shelter, a 24/7 crisis phone line, access to community resources, food, transportation, and support for all genders and ages.
WAVI services are free.
Shelter Services
We offer many types of services to assist victims of domestic violence, including emergency services, referrals and information, safety planning, and education.
Community Resources
WAVI has created a list of Black Hills community resources that assist survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Volunteer
Help ensure that our fight against domestic violence continues. You can make a difference by volunteering in a variety of ways.
Youth Initiatives
WAVI empowers youth in the creation of youth-led initiatives and stands alongside them through their work providing logistical, educational, and emotional support.
It’s Annual Appeal time and we are so thankful.
Winston Churchill once said, "We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give."
Your financial gift to WAVI provides education, safety, resources, and hope to the families we serve today, and the ability to build a life that is healthy, happy, and free from violence, tomorrow.
