Our mission:

WAVI works to create a community free of domestic violence and sexual abuse through advocacy, education, and support services.

 

 Working Against Violence, Inc. (WAVI) is committed to providing critical services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and intimate partner stalking.

Our services include secure safe shelter, a 24/7 crisis phone line, access to community resources, food, transportation, and comprehensive case management.

WAVI services are free.

Shelter Services

WAVI offers many services to assist survivors including access to it’s 24-hour, 56-bed emergency safe shelter, emergency services, referrals, resources, safety planning, and education.

Community Resources

WAVI maintains a comprehensive list of Black Hills community partners who provide resources that assist survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and intimate partner stalking.

Volunteer

Your time commitment ensures that our battle against intimate partner violence continues. Join WAVI by volunteering in a variety of ways.

Youth Initiatives

WAVI supports youth voices in the Black Hills in their efforts to end intimate partner violence. Standing alongside them through their work providing educational and emotional support.

Support Survivors

In 2024, WAVI provided over 31,787 resources through comprehensive case management for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and intimate partner stalking.
