COVID-19 Update Regarding Donations

In order to help keep our clients and staff healthy, we have temporarily updated our donation policy. We will happily accept the following items at our backdoor, please call our office at 605-341-3292 when you arrive and a staff member will gladly greet you to accept your donations. You can also ship items directly to WAVI at 527 Quincy St, Rapid City, SD 57701. Thank you!

Shelter Needs List

Paper plates, plastic cutlery, disposable cups, phone chargers and cords, sports bras, new women's underwear, adult XL-XXL winter coats, t-shirts and leggings/sweatpants, sweatshirts/hoodies, disposable masks, disinfectant wipes, 13 and 33 gallon trash bags, milk, eggs, snacks. Our ADA compliant, drug and alcohol free shelter is open 24/7 to provide a safe haven for women and children survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We also provide assistance with:

  • Safety planning
  • Domestic violence education
  • In-shelter children’s program
  • Community referrals

Reminder about donations: Due to security and safety, please do not leave donations without speaking to someone. We ask that you use the back entrance to drop off donations. We also have limited space for storage, so if you have a large donation, please call ahead.
