Shelter Services and Resources

Working Against Violence, Inc. (WAVI) provides safe, temporary shelter to women, children and men survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. 

WAVI provides 24 hour staff support and advocacy to those who utilize our shelter services, helping them through difficult and uncertain life transitions. 

WAVI's 13 bedroom shelter for women, children and men is ADA compliant and drug and alcohol free.

Support services include: 

  • Safety planning
  • Domestic violence education
  • In-shelter children's program
  • Community referrals
  • Free 24/7 crisis line – Call 605-341-4808 or 888-716-9284
  • Cell phones that only dial 911 are available for clients – please contact us for more information
